You really need to see this video. On Fox News Sunday, Brit Hume, the Fox News Senior Political Analyst, makes some comments about Tiger Woods and how he can "recover" from his recent troubles.
Brit's answer has caused A LOT of stir in news people. You REALLY need to watch this video!! I LOVE it when committed Christians speak what they REALLY believe. How awesome! Take a look!
If you receive this by email - make sure you click on the title above to see the video.
I see where he is coming from ,but as a "news correspondent" it doesn't seem too professional. the reason news correspondent is in quotes is simply due to Fox News' lack of credibility and clear bias.

I saw this when FOX news showed it - amazing! I haven't heard what the main-stream media has said about it. I think he doesn't need to follow the Christian religion - Tiger needs a heart change not a "religion" change. I think his brain must be "sick-sick-sick" And we all know what causes that!

I believe that Brit Hume is bravely living out his primary profession as an ambassador for Christ. It is professional and right and wise for each believer to, first and foremost, fulfill his role as Christ's ambassador and then, secondly, work hard to fulfill his role in whatever secular profession he/she has chosen. God should always come first, regardless of the setting and regardless of the opinions of others. Brit Hume is biased for Christ and making that known is how God can make His appeal through Brit. "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us." 2 Corinthians 5:20

refreshing to hear a Christian walk the walk and talk the talk regardless of his profession and all the expectations and pressures to not have an opinion. May it encourage the rest of us to stand firm, no matter who we are talking to.

How is this not just gossip? Hume is talking about the personal life of a man he clearly knows nothing about in a public forum without Woods present. Or is gossip allowed because he is proselytizing telling Woods he needs to be a Christian? Should you "amen" someone doing what they should not be doing in a public forum? The amazing thing is that Tiger Woods' personal life has no "news" value, just gossip value, but if some Christian guy on TV says it has "news" value it is ok to gossip. Then he cries foul when people tell him he shouldn't talking about this. This doesn't do anything good for Christianity, or for Fox news, nor is he being a good ambassador for Christ.

This is a great video! I hope Tiger saw it...although I am sure it was not the first time God was trying to get his attention. God wants to be shared publicly. "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven." Matthew 10:32

This message reached way more than Tiger Woods. I am sure it reached people like myself who struggle and the Lord wants to reach out to with forgiveness for true repentance. All Brit was saying is embrace Christ, turn from your ways to the Lord of the Bible and you shall be saved. What a wonderful idea for a man to perform the great commission to a massive audience. Thanks Brit. Sometimes even a message of redemption is rejected. I pray that Tiger will acept the greatest Love of all.

That was great! Jesus is sin's cure and the answer to all life's problems. I love it when The Way, The Truth and The Life is publicly revealed.
If the news media's job is to report truth, Brit Hume did a great job that day.

The thing that I liked best about what Mr. Hume said is that he showed a sensitivity to Tiger's situation. The man made mistakes that cost him (for the moment at least) his family, his job and his reputation. Mr. Hume did not offer solutions for how Tiger might regain his sponsors or salvage his reputation. He did not spout recriminations, he did not finger point and he did not treat the situation with disgust or worse, glee.
His message was simple. Tiger is hurting, and I know The Way to make it better. Mr. Hume knew for certain, as all we Christ-followers do, that being vocal about his faith would result in making him a target. He did it anyway.
Bravo to Mr. Hume for being fearless, for loving and for not backing down when he had the chance.

I know this is late, and probably nobody will read it, but I've been thinking about Mark's comment and wanted to respond:
Mark, I agree with you that all this talk about Tiger's personal life isn't newsworthy, and it's sad that our nation and its media are so fascinated with the personal lives of celebrities. A lot of what is on the news could indeed be classified as gossip.
BUT...
If you were at work, and someone brought up the topic of Tiger Woods, would you dismiss them, saying "No, that's gossip, I don't want to talk about that." Or would you take the opportunity to share the hope that you have in Jesus Christ, and try to point your co-worker in the same direction?
I think Brit Hume was faithful in doing the former, not the latter.

Oops! I meant "latter, not former" !! You know what I meant! :)

I had no idea Brit Hume was a Christian. It is refreshing to see someone speak the only truth that can help Tiger's situation instead of just gossiping like Nancy Grace or Keith Oberman. What Tiger did is just a reflection of his fallen nature (the one with which we are all born) and the only redemption available is from and through Christ. People don't like to hear that Christ is the only answer - (i.e. "Ten things I wish Jesus never said"). He is not only THE answer but He gives "abundant" life. Good job Brit and thanks David for making me aware of this video segment.
